Work experience
Susie initially trained in psychology and primary school teaching. While living in Sydney, she worked in sales, marketing and management roles in the corporate sector and furthered her qualifications as a Counsellor. On her return to Forster to raise her family, Susie worked for local community health services and became a Registered Psychologist.
She worked in Adult Mental Health at Taree for 9 years providing group and individual Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for suicidal and self-harming individuals. She valued the experience of working with mum’s who were struggling with their parenting skills due to their own traumatic childhoods and this lead to her next career transition.
